Fragility can be strength is an expressive composition from my series Flowers in My Backyard.
Painted in the Algarve, Portugal, in 2025, this large-scale acrylic work explores the quiet strength within fragility. Using flowers as a central symbol, the painting moves between delicacy and intensity, inviting the viewer into an emotional space that remains intentionally open and ambiguous.
Balancing on the edge of the semi-abstract, the composition raises subtle contradictions: Is it light or heavy? Muted or vibrant? Joyful or melancholic? Like our emotional landscapes, the painting resists a single interpretation.
Although luminous in color and energy, the work also reflects on the ephemeral nature of feelings and inner states. Layers, textures, and shifting forms suggest that vulnerability itself can hold power — and that beauty often exists precisely in what is fleeting and unstable.
